The Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra under Vladimir Fedoseyev closed the classical music season in Buenos Aires with a stunning performance.

The concert took place on Thursday on the city’s principal theatre stage, Coliseo, with the tickets sold out completely despite their perceptibly high price of $100. The acclaimed ensemble presented Rimsky-Korsakov’s symphonic suite “Scheherazade” and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No5. The audience stood up applauding and the orchestra had to play three encores.

"I’m very pleased to meet again the sympathetic and sophisticated audience of Argentina after 12 years since our previous tour in South America", said Vladimir Fedoseyev, chief conductor of the orchestra since 1974.
